Angels in America was originally a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Tony Kushner. In 2003, HBO made a mini-series based on the play. The series starred Al Pacino and Emma Thompson.
Angels in America is the out of this world story of Prior Walter, a gay man recently diagnosed with AIDS. The series explores several important themes of the 80s, including Reagan era politics, how AIDS became an epidemic, and the social and political climate that politics did not understand.
